Asus released its first handheld machine ROGally in May last year. I thought that according to general rules, the second generation would be too early, but I didn't expect that it would be within this year. Arnold Su, vice president of consumer and gaming PCs at ASUS India, revealed in an interview,The second generation ROG handheld console is likely to be released this year.
He also said that the second-generation ROG handheld console still uses the Windows operating system and will further enhance the gaming experience.
Although the ROG handheld console is its debut, it is good and well-received, Arnold Su saidMore than 70,000 units sold in India alone, it’s great to achieve such results on the first try.
The ROG handheld uses AMD's specially designed Ryzen Z1 series processors, Zen4 and Zen4c combined architecture, and integrated RDNA3.5 GPU.
If the second generation is released within this year,The only suitable processor is the StrixPoint, which will be launched in the middle of this year, up to 4 Zen5 and 8 Zen5c CPU cores, and the GPU architecture has also been upgraded to RNDA3.5, with up to 16 units.
Lenovo also has a handheld LegionGo based on the Ryzen Z1 series, and MSI uses Core Ultra to create CLAW. This market is becoming more and more lively.
However, SteamDeck is not in a hurry, the next generation is still early.
