Apple prides itself on offering secure devices that are locked via biometrics and passcodes. However, human error will hamper any security protocol, no matter how many safeguards are in place. If they forget their password, VisionPro users have no other option but to go to an Apple store or send their headphones to reset their password.

According to Bloomberg, Apple's support hotline has received a "large number" of complaints about forgotten passwords. An anonymous source said support staff have been told to tell users that repairs can only be done in-store or by mail.

Other products, like iPhones, can be reset simply by connecting to your Mac and entering Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) mode. Users can even reset their Apple Watch if they forget their password.

An Apple Community Forum member shared their experience calling Apple Support Center about the issue. The support worker complained that he "had to deal with a lot of angry customers after telling them the only way was to return to the store."

Before enabling OpticID, Apple Vision Pro required a six-digit passcode during setup. Users can choose not to use a password, which removes the biometric option for security and login.
