Recently, overseas media reported that a German dealer (Gregory Brudny) was sued by Volkswagen Germany for importing 22 Volkswagen ID.6CROZZ models from China to the German market. The reason for the prosecution was that China and Europe do not belong to parallel sales channels. According to regulations, ID.6CROZZ can only be produced and sold in China.
According to reports, the 22 Volkswagen ID.6 CROZZ imported by this German dealer have paid all tariffs, and all procedures for the vehicles have not violated relevant local laws. These 22 new cars can be legally registered and put on the road in Germany. However, Volkswagen of Germany stated that the imported ID.6CROZZ is not allowed to be sold outside the Chinese market within Volkswagen’s system. At the same time, Volkswagen of Germany officially filed a lawsuit in court and requested that these new cars be prohibited from being sold and destroyed. Currently, these new cars are impounded in the court warehouse, awaiting the final verdict.
According to current information analysis, the reason why this German dealer imported these 22 ID.6CROZZs from China is mainly because they are cheaper than other models of the same level in Germany, and ID.6CROZZ models are not available in the European market. In addition, the starting price of ID.6X and ID.6CROZZ in China is 33,700 euros, which is even lower than the starting price of 40,335 euros for the ID.4 model sold in Germany, but the space of the vehicle is much larger. If the domestic ID.6CROZZ is imported and sold in the German market, it can be sold for about 60,000 euros. Even with transportation fees and tariff costs, you can still make considerable profits.
