Today, Skiff and Notion jointly announced that Skiff will join Notion. This is another move after Notion’s previous acquisition of calendar service Cron. This move will help Notion enter the field of email and online documents. Skiff is a company founded in 2020, but not long after its launch, the number of users exceeded the 2 million mark. I did not expect that it would be acquired by Notion so soon.

Based on the protection of data and privacy, even if it is acquired by Notion, Skiff will not profit from user data, and all user accounts will not be automatically migrated to Notion. Skiff has reserved six months for users to migrate.

In the next six months, users can export data and migrate custom email domain names. After six months, all Skiff-related packages will be closed. As for when it will be reincarnated from Notion, it may take 1 to 2 years.

Referring to Cron, after Notion acquired it, it did not directly integrate it into the product. Instead, it redeveloped the Notion calendar based on Cron, which took almost 2 years.

In the future, Notion's product lineup will continue to expand, focusing on knowledge base software, providing calendars, online documents, encrypted documents, end-to-end encrypted emails and many other services.
