Since the second half of last year, the ongoing DRAM supply shortage has spread to graphics cards, causing the procurement cost of GDDR to rise significantly. Due to the negotiated price of video memory particles in 2025, the price of Radeon graphics cards did not increase much at that time. However, after entering 2026, there were continuous price increases in a short period of time. It is rumored that AMD may choose to start a new round of price increases in July, considering that the price of video memory particles will continue to rise in the second half of this year, with an expected increase of 10% to 15%.

According to Bobandang reports, the latest news has come from the supply chain. Affected by the tight supply of global graphics memory particles and the continued rise in market prices, the graphics card industry will usher in a new round of price adjustment cycles. AMD has issued price increase notices to partners, including Sapphire, Asus, XFX, Hankai, etc., and decided to increase the supply price of GPU + video memory kits. The overall increase is about 10%, and it is expected to be officially launched in July. This means that manufacturers’ shipping prices will also increase by the same amount, which will be gradually transmitted to agents, dealers, and consumer end markets.
Last month, Nvidia adjusted the price of GeForce graphics cards. The two flagship products affected were the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5090 D v2. Considering that the prices of these models themselves exceed the official suggested retail price (MSRP), there will be no impact on most players. However, there is still the possibility that Nvidia will increase pricing next quarter. Whether it will happen depends on the market conditions in late July or early August.
