Previously, Gigabyte Technology set a DDR5-10346 overclocking record using the AMD Ryzen78700GAPU+B650EAORUSTachyon platform, overclocking G.Skill's Trident Z5RGBDDR5-7600 memory to a high frequency of 10346. However, within a few days, ASUS's internal overclocking expert SafeDisk used AMD Ryzen78700GAPU+ROGCrosshairX670EGENE motherboard and G.Skill's TridentZ5DDR5-7800 memory to overclock to 10060MHz, surpassing Gigabyte's record.
During this overclocking process, the processor only used standard water cooling, the memory only came with its own cooling armor, and the motherboard VRM radiator was also removed.
After the preparations were completed, SafeDisk changed the timing of the dual-channel memory to 50-62-62-127-127, thus achieving the overclocking record of DDR5-10600.
Moreover, the system can be started directly after overclocking. SafeDisk said that the entire OC process is very simple.
It is worth mentioning that this overclocker also said that BCLK was not adjusted.
It seems that AMD has an advantage over Intel in dual-channel memory overclocking.
So far, Intel has achieved frequencies up to DDR5-10382 on a dual-channel setup, while AMD has done DDR5-10600 on the AM5 platform, and this is obviously just the beginning.
