More than a month has passed since developer PocketPair launched the survival game "Phantom Parlu" that shocked the gaming industry. This game, described as a "Pokémon with a gun", has been enthusiastically sought after by players since its launch, with sales and simultaneous online users hitting new highs on the Steam platform. On the Xbox platform, the game becomes the largest third-party version of a game released on Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass service.
Today, PocketPair once again released the latest data for "Eidolon Parlu". In a post posted on the game's X (formerly Twitter) account, the company said that 25 million players have played the game since it launched a month ago.
According to PocketPair, this number includes 15 million Steam players. Since Paloo is a paid game on the Valve PC store, this likely means that 15 million digital copies of the game have been purchased on the platform. That's a huge number for any game, let alone one that's been out for just over a month. On the Steam platform, the game still ranks in the top 20 in sales, and the number of online players also ranks in the top 10.
The news also said that 10 million Xbox players have experienced the game. Since "Pallu" is a first-day Xbox Game Pass game, it's unclear how many of those console owners have paid full price for the game.
In today's message, PocketPair thanked players for their "continued support," adding: "We will continue to prioritize fixing bugs and preventing further cheating." The company has previously announced plans for future content updates, but currently appears to be focusing on addressing the various issues that have arisen in the game.
