On September 26, local time, according to the New York Times, Judge Ngolon of the New York State Supreme Court ruled that former US President Trump committed fraud in his financial statements and exaggerated the value of his assets in order to obtain favorable loan and insurance transactions.
It is reported that New York State Attorney General Letitia James began investigating Trump in March 2019 and filed a lawsuit against Trump in September 2022, accusing him of "egregious" fraud in the value of his assets and inflated property valuations.
The trial in this case was originally scheduled to begin on October 2. For now, Trump still has a chance to delay the trial or dismiss the case against him. Trump has sued Judge Ngorong, and an appeals court is expected to rule on his lawsuit this week. (CCTV reporter Liu Xiaoqian)
