Tianfeng International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Amazon will launch a color version of Kindle next year, using Yuantai’s color e-paper ACeP.It is understood that Apple is expected to launch 6-inch and 10-inch color Kindle e-book readers.Because the unit price of ACeP is about 40-60% or more higher than black and white, the unit price is significantly higher than Kaleido black and white e-paper.

Ming-Chi Kuo also predicts that the shipments of color electronic paper books will increase significantly in 2024, accounting for about 8~10% of global e-readers. The main shipments will come from new products of Kobo (expected to be mass-produced in the first quarter of this year) and reMarkable (expected to be mass-produced in the third quarter of this year).

It is reported that Yuantai Technology was established in 1992 and is a company specializing in the production of electrophoretic electronic paper displays and TFTLCDs.

Yuantai Technology invested in the R&D and production of e-paper early. In 2005, it acquired the Philips e-paper division, and in 2009, it acquired EInk, a US electronic ink faucet company, to complete the integration of the e-paper production chain. It has become the world's largest e-paper display manufacturer and manufacturer, occupying an important position in the global e-paper industry.

In 2016, Yuantai Technology released the first generation "ACeP color electronic paper", which is used to display color images while maintaining low power consumption. The product is mainly used in electronic signage.

In 2021, Yuantai Technology launched the second-generation "ACeP color electronic paper" EInkGallery4100. When the existing reflective color electrophoretic display device displays a white pattern, the arrangement pattern of the color resist will cause a grid-like texture problem.

In addition, Yuantai Technology has predicted in advance that flexible screens are the future development direction of e-paper products, and has carried out research on flexible e-paper in advance, constantly overcoming problems such as edge blur, peeling, deformation, and resistance to bending, until it launches mature flexible and foldable full-color e-paper products in 2023.
