CPU-Z and similar apps are our best bet for understanding a CPU lineup before it's released, as they often provide preliminary support. Not long ago, CPU-Z was updated and disclosed the existence of "Storm Peak" CPU, but did not disclose the specific SKU and its related core number. However, the latest version confirmed the core number of AMD's next-generation Ryzen Threadripper PRO7000WX CPU.

The above information once again confirms the statement that the Ryzen Threadripper PRO7000WX CPU lineup, codenamed "Storm Peak", will have five different SKUs, with a maximum core count of up to 96 cores. These CPUs will use AMD's Zen4 architecture and increase the core count, with the flagship product having up to 96 cores and 192 threads.
This time, AMD plans to shift its Threadripper series to the new TRX50 platform, which supports PCIe Gen5.0 and DDR5 memory and is expected to bring significant performance improvements. The product line will be divided into two series, one supporting 8 channels and the other supporting 4 channels of DDR5 memory. The former will also use higher PCIeGen5.0 channels.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 "Storm Peak" CPU is expected to be launched by the end of this year, but the specific release date has not yet been determined. Based on the CPU-Z listing, we can say that the release time is indeed approaching.
