At the WWDC2024 keynote speech held on June 10, Apple released the next version of its desktop operating system macOSSequoia. Like other major updates, macOS Sequoia not only brings new features, but also a large number of fresh wallpapers.
Similar to Sonoma, Ventura, Monterey and BigSur, the macOSSequoia system also has two default abstract wallpapers. This time, they're similar to what you'd see standing next to an incredibly tall redwood tree, with sunlight filtering through the treetops.

Unlike macOS, Windows does not support dynamic theme switching. However, you can switch between dark and light wallpapers using third-party apps like AutoDarkMode and WinDynamicDesktop, which are available for free download in the Microsoft Store.
macOSSequoia is currently in developer preview. Apple plans to release the first public beta in July, with plans for a full rollout later this fall. The operating system includes some interesting new features, such as the ability to mirror your iPhone screen and control it from your Mac, system-wide ChatGPT and Apple Intelligence integration (writing tools, image generation, and richer Siri functionality), iPhone notifications on Mac, better window tiling, a new password app, iMessage upgrades, and more.
If you're willing to take the risk and try macOSSequoia now, visit the official Apple Beta Software Program website and register your Mac. The first beta versions are usually buggy and unstable, so it's best not to use them on mission-critical devices.
In addition to macOS Sequoia, Apple also announced iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, new audio and TV features, and other software improvements coming later this year.
