Microsoft has previously established a partnership with NVIDIA. Most Xbox GamePass games will join NVIDIA's cloud gaming service, allowing users to choose the cloud gaming platform that suits them. The partnership comes in response to UK regulators questioning Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Currently, priority service subscribers can play at 1080p resolution and 60fps frame rate. Only Ultimate level subscribers can play at 4K120fps. These cloud hosts will use RTX4080 graphics cards.
NVIDIA GeForceNow currently does not officially provide services in China, so the experience may not be perfect.
According to TheVerge’s current experience report, an RTX4080 equivalent graphics card is used on GeForceNow, so if your graphics card has weaker performance, you will definitely get better overall picture quality. However, in some areas such as New Atlantis, no matter how you adjust the picture settings and resolution, the frame rate will still drop to around 47 to 48fps. However, in Neon City, the frame rate remains above 60fps at 4K resolution and ultra-high quality. This is obviously because the frame rate of the game is also limited by the CPU. In the open areas of the planet, the high-definition and high-resolution frame rate can be maintained above 90fps.
However, these are experiences that only paid subscription members can have. GeForceNow allows free trials in some areas, but the free user experience is very poor. The game took up to half an hour to load, the graphics were extremely poor, and trial users also encountered problems with save files being corrupted.
