Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the Passenger Transport Association, wrote in an article,In September 2023, China's automobile exports reached 500,000 units, with export growth continuing to grow by 36%.From January to September 2023, China's automobile exports reached 3.71 million units, with a sustained strong export growth rate of 60%, which has exceeded the 3.4 million units for the whole of 2022.
In 2022, China will export 160,000 units to Russia. From January to September 2023, China will export 640,000 units to Russia, a year-on-year increase of 652%.
In September, China exported 95,000 vehicles to Russia, a year-on-year increase of 589%. The surge in exports of heavy trucks and tractors made a huge contribution to Russia.
The average price of China's automobile exports in 2023 is US$20,000, compared with US$18,000 in 2022, and the average price has increased significantly.
Cui Dongshu pointed out that China's automobile exports to developed European markets have made great breakthroughs. New energy vehicles are the core growth point for high-quality growth in China's automobile exports, changing the passive situation of automobile exports relying on some poor and non-standard countries in Asia and Africa.
