The free enterprise version of NetEase Mailbox has reduced its quota to 1GB on October 31, 2024, that is, each account can only store up to 1GB of email and other data. Originally, the free version of NetEase Enterprise Mailbox could create multiple sub-mailboxes after registration, and each sub-mailbox account provided 3GB of data storage. This capacity is basically sufficient for regular use.

However, now that it has been reduced to 1GB, it is actually a bit less. If you send and receive a lot of emails, you need to clean up the emails and their attachments frequently, otherwise it will be easy to fill up the free account quota.

According to the official statement of NetEase Mailbox, if the mailbox capacity exceeds the capacity, it will cause the inability to receive and send emails normally. For example, when someone sends you a new email, the capacity will be exceeded and the mailbox will not be received normally, which may affect normal communication.

NetEase said that in order to avoid unnecessary impact, it recommended that users upgrade their corporate mailboxes as soon as possible so that they can enjoy unlimited capacity, safer, more advanced and more stable services. Of course, the upgrade requires payment.

NetEase Enterprise Mailbox currently provides flagship, exclusive and group editions. The flagship version starts at 100 yuan per account after discount, and the exclusive version starts at 150 yuan after discount per account. At least 5 accounts are opened, which means the annual cost starts at 500 yuan.

These paid versions do not have unlimited capacity, but they can accommodate 1 million mailboxes. This is enough for most users and enterprises, so users who still want to continue using NetEase corporate mailboxes remember to pay attention to the mailbox capacity and consider upgrading.

Note: The official website of the free version of NetEase Enterprise Mailbox seems to still label the single account capacity of the free version as 6GB.
