Musk said he would provide weekly live updates on the latest progress of his Department of Government Efficiency. Previously, he had said that all actions of the Department of Government Efficiency would be published online to achieve maximum transparency, and a ranking list would be set up to select the craziest and stupidest tax spending moves. Recently, Minister Ma announced on social media
Earlier this week, Trump announced that Musk and former Republican primary candidate and wealthy American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the proposed "Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE)" to jointly carry out "government downsizing": assisting the government in dismantling bureaucracies, cutting excessive regulations, reducing wasteful spending and restructuring federal agencies. Although the specific operational details have not yet been made clear, Trump said that the leader of this work will be independent from the government.
"The new administration is not going to be business as usual, it's going to be a revolution," Musk said at an event at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday night.
It is worth noting that in addition to planning weekly live updates, Musk has also previously stated that he will solicit public suggestions and disclose actual actions:
"All Government Efficiency actions will be posted online for maximum transparency."
He also said he would set up a ranking list to select the craziest and stupidest tax spending moves.
Ramaswamy posted on social media, "Excessive bureaucracy = reduced innovation and increased costs." He pointed out that this is the real problem with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), NRC (Nuclear Regulatory Commission) and many other three-letter agencies, who have no idea how their decisions inhibit new inventions and increase costs that hinder growth.
During his presidential campaign, Ramaswamy promised to dismantle some agencies, including the NRC, and urged cuts to at least 75% of the federal workforce.
In addition, according to a previous article in The Wall Street Journal, Musk and Ramaswamy released information through social media on November 14, local time, to reflect how their team will work and recruit volunteers, calling on "small government revolutionaries who are willing to work more than 80 hours a week (unpaid)" to join their efforts.
