New emojis are coming... eventually. According to Emojipedia, the Unicode Consortium has officially approved Emoji 15.1, which means a new batch of emoji will appear on your device at some point in the future. Compared with previous versions, the number of new emojis this time is not large. According to Emojipedia, the new emojis include horizontal and vertical shaking heads, phoenix, lime, brown mushroom and broken chain.
Additionally, there are new emojis representing different family sizes, as well as some versions of emojis you may be familiar with that will go in different directions.

The Phoenix is a particularly popular emoji. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes companies like Apple and Microsoft months to build support for new emojis into their software, so you might have to wait a while before you can put a new emoji in your Moments.
