According to media reports, a "dust door" incident occurred on Apple's MacBook Pro. When the notebook is opened and closed at a certain angle, purple vertical lines will appear.According to the repairman, the issue appears to come from the screen flex cable that connects the display to the laptop's body, which has a gap at the hinge point of the screen and keyboard that can collect dust and dirt.
When dust and dirt accumulate in the cable to a certain extent, it will damage the cable and cause screen abnormalities.
Ricky Panesar, founder of repair specialist iCorrect said,The issue affects the A1989, A2251, A2289, A2338 and A2141 aircraft types, with the latter being the most affected.
The models were released between 2018 and 2020, but Panesar said MacBook Pro models sold between 2016 and 2020 had a similar design and may be vulnerable to this glitch.
Previously, the screen of the iPhone 14 Pro Max had a "line of death" problem. Thin green and yellow horizontal lines appeared on the screen when the screen was turned on or locked, and disappeared after a few seconds. After investigation, Apple stated that this problem was not a hardware defect, but a simple software problem.
