Intel has officially launched a limited edition of ArcB580 GPU to retail stores, but due to high demand, it is difficult to find a single stock. The latest news is that it will be restocked in early January 2025. Newegg is one of the first retailers to list the Intel Arc B58012GB graphics card for $249.99. This is the official MSRP for the limited edition, but the AIB version will cost more.
The limited edition uses a 192-bit bus, comes with 12GBGDDR6VRAM and 20 Xe2 cores. The GPU core clock frequency is 2670MHz, but it can reach higher frequencies after overclocking. The GPU is equipped with a single 8-pin power connector and consumes 190 watts, while the AIB version can consume more than 200 watts.
Now, this GPU seems to be out of stock as it is in high demand. Being one of the best budget GPUs, it is expected to be the only version in stock right now. You won't be able to buy it in a few days, though, at least not on Newegg. The retailer will restock the graphics card on January 3, 2025, approximately three weeks later.
The same goes for Amazon, which lists several GUNNIR-branded cards scheduled to be available in early January, while B&H and LDLC have only received pre-orders for the card.
Another reason for its high demand is that it is a limited edition and will not be produced again once Intel discontinues it. However, the AIB version will continue to be on the shelves after production is discontinued. The Intel ArcB580 put up some impressive numbers in video games, especially at 1440p, where it far outperformed the RTX 4060 and RX7600 at 1080p.
As the only $249 12GB card in the latest generation, the ArcB580 looks to be a strong contender for older generation cards with similar VRAM capacity. There are still some driver issues, but they don't seem to be serious so far. If users want a cheaper alternative, they can wait for the ArcB570 to be available on December 16 (a few days later).
