According to CCTV News, the Mars research team of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, recently expanded its application field to the Martian atmosphere based on the independently developed high-resolution atmospheric model dynamic framework.Successfully constructed a new generation of Mars atmosphere model, providing important scientific research support for Mars exploration.Unlike Earth, the Martian atmosphere is low-pressure and low-temperature, with very little water vapor and unpredictable sand and dust.The scientific research team used this model to simulate the cycle of three key meteorological elements in the Martian atmospheric environment: dust, water and carbon dioxide.

At the same time, the performance of the model was verified based on the observation results of the "Tianwen-1" Mars rover and "Zhurong" and the American "Viking 1" and "Viking 2" Mars probes, as well as the international Mars atmosphere global data set.

The results show that the new generation of Mars atmosphere model successfully reproduced the unique surface pressure of the Martian atmosphere recorded by "Zhurong" and others.

In addition, this model also has good simulation results for Mars surface temperature, zonal wind, polar ice and dust.

Our country plans to implement the "Tianwen-3" exploration mission before 2028, which will complete the first Mars sample return for humans.

Compared with "Tianwen-1", the mission of "Tianwen-3" is more complex, and the need for refined Martian atmospheric environmental conditions is more urgent.

The large model successfully constructed this time will provide stable and reliable meteorological environment data support for Mars landing detection.
