Recently, a large amount of "Halo"-related content has been leaked online, including development tools, unreleased content, and in-development versions. The content reportedly dates back to Bungie in 1998, when the studio launched Myth 2: The Fallen and was developing anime-style 3D action-adventure games Oni and Halo: Combat Evolved.
The news leak account VISCERAL first shared the leak, saying it contained 90GB of data, which was allegedly from a group of modders hired by 343 Industries to try to restore deleted content and data in old games. The project is called Digsite, and several modders familiar with the project, including one who worked on it, confirmed the authenticity of the leak.
Currently, 343i, which has been renamed Halo Studios this year, is developing its next game. In addition, the studio also confirmed that the new game will switch to using the Unreal 5 engine.
