In April 2023, Microsoft announced the discontinuation of Microsoft-branded PC accessories such as keyboards, mice, headsets, and webcams. But later, the company decided to partner with Incase to re-launch the accessories. After a brief delay, Incase is finally launching new accessories, starting with a compact ergonomic keyboard that also comes with dedicated Copilot keys.
The keys of the new keyboard are a split design with built-in cushioned palm rests and tilted keys, allowing users to type in a more natural posture and feel more comfortable. It uses scissor keys with a short key travel of only 1.3 mm, plus keys for emojis, mute, media control, and of course Copilot for calling Microsoft's artificial intelligence assistant built into Windows 10 and 11 (this is a Microsoft-designed keyboard after all).
Incase claims the keyboard will run for up to 36 months on a pair of bundled AAA batteries, and it will work with Windows 10 and 11 devices. In terms of connectivity, users can pair it with a computer via Bluetooth, and there are three built-in profiles to switch between three different devices. Unfortunately, this keyboard doesn't have a backlight, which may be a bummer for some considering its hefty $119.99 price tag.
