Microsoft designer and enthusiast Sergey Kisselev recently released a new Windows 11 real-time "live" wallpaper on the Behance website. The author reveals the story behind these wallpapers, adding that these animated wallpapers are part of Microsoft's efforts to celebrate "Windows 11's new iconic center composition":

We explored a variety of dynamic animations and still images for Microsoft's low-cost device, primarily aimed at educational users. This work is part of the Windows Creative Directors team's effort to celebrate a new centered signature composition for Windows 11, highlighting the centered Start menu and taskbar. Available in both light and dark modes, these designs allow flexibility in interpretation and execution.

Apparently, these designs were still part of Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2, but Microsoft abandoned them before the release of 24H2. Interestingly, this feature also never rolled out through the canary, dev, or beta channels, which may hint at another problem in the Windows Insider channel:
