This morning, all Jiyue car owners issued a joint open letter to Geely Automobile, Baidu, and Jidu Automobile through the public account "Jiyue Silent-We Speak". The letter mentioned that after the Jiyue vehicle crash incident, although Geely and Baidu promised to take full responsibility, starting from December 12, 2024,Jiyue car owners across the country are facing serious troubles in vehicle maintenance, spare parts supply and vehicle system stability, which has caused substantial damage to driving safety and the rights and interests of car owners.
These problems not only greatly affect the user experience, but also put car owners at constant risk to their lives and property safety.
In response, the National Alliance of Extreme Vehicle Clubs, on behalf of all affected car owners, made the following demands to the three parties:
1. Immediately restore Jiyue after-sales system:
In view of the fact that more and more vehicles fail to repair and cannot be repaired after accidents, the basic travel safety and after-sales service of car owners cannot be guaranteed. Three parties are required to coordinate and immediately restore the Jiyue after-sales system, including but not limited to the supply of vehicle spare parts, opening system permissions to authorized after-sales outlets, equipped with testing and maintenance tools, personnel training, etc., to effectively protect the basic after-sales rights of Jiyue car owners.
2. Make every effort to fix software bugs:
For known software problems, we increase investment in research and development, repair them as quickly as possible, and regularly report progress to car owners to ensure that the software is stable and reliable and eliminate potential driving safety hazards.
3. Build a long-term communication mechanism:
The three parties have established a special working group to communicate regularly with car owner representatives, respond to concerns in a timely manner, ensure information transparency, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of car owners.
4. Clarify the recovery period and responsibilities:
Clearly set a specific time limit for resuming normal vehicle maintenance, supply of spare parts, and ensuring the stability of the vehicle system and the rights of car owners. The contract must be strictly performed. If responsibilities are not fulfilled as scheduled, the compensation details for the car owners shall be clearly defined.
