NIO today released the new EC6 electric coupe SUV. The starting price of the model is 358,000 yuan (75kWh battery pack). The new car will be delivered as soon as it is launched. The first generation of NIO EC6 was officially launched in July 2020, and a total of more than 50,000 units have been delivered so far. This time Weilai launched a new EC6 based on the NT2.0 platform.
In terms of appearance, the new EC6 body is 4849mm long, 1995mm wide, 1697mm high, and has a wheelbase of 2915mm. The new car adopts a coupe fastback shape and is equipped with a dual-mode active lifting rear wing, with wind resistance as low as 0.24Cd. 9 exterior colors are available, and 4 interior theme colors are available.
The new EC6 comes standard with a dual-motor intelligent four-wheel drive system. The front 150kW induction motor and the rear 210kW permanent magnet motor are combined. The total power reaches 360kW, the torque reaches 700N·m, and the acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers under half-load conditions is 4.4 seconds. The front wheels of the new car are equipped as standard with NIO's self-developed aluminum alloy four-piston fixed calipers and large brake discs with a diameter of 355mm. The shortest braking distance per 100 kilometers is 34.5 meters (21-inch wheels).
The new EC6 is equipped with Banyan, NIO’s intelligent system. In the latest version of Banyan 2.1.0, NOMI adds "listen" and "speak when visible" functions. The "listen" function improves interaction efficiency. The "See and Say" function makes issuing instructions more convenient and accurate.
In terms of intelligent driving, the new EC6 is equipped with the Aquila NIO super-sensing system, which has 33 high-performance sensors including ultra-long-range lidar; it is equipped with the ADAM NIO supercomputing platform, which integrates four NVIDIA Drive OrinX chips, with a total computing power of 1016 TOPS; and provides 24 safety and driving assistance functions, covering daily driving scenarios.
NIO's new EC6 is equipped with a 75kWh battery pack model with a starting price of 358,000 yuan; a 100kWh battery pack model with a starting price of 416,000 yuan; using the BaaS battery rental plan, the starting price is 288,000 yuan.
