Recently, the official image of the new Audi A5PHEV was officially released, marking the first time that Audi has introduced a plug-in hybrid system in its mid-size sedan product line.The new car will be available in sedan and wagon versions. The exterior design retains Audi's iconic hexagonal air intake grille and matrix LED headlights. It is also equipped with sporty air intakes and air guides on the lower part and sides of the front of the car.

The side lines are compact and smooth, the newly added charging port design shows its plug-in hybrid status, and the through-type taillight design at the rear of the car enhances the sense of technology.

In terms of interior, the A5PHEV remains consistent with the fuel version, equipped with a three-screen design, including an 11.9-inch LCD screen, a 14.5-inch central control screen and a 10.9-inch passenger entertainment screen. It also simplifies the physical buttons and adds storage compartments and mobile phone wireless charging areas.

In terms of power system,The new car is equipped with a 2.0T plug-in hybrid system with a motor power of 142 horsepower and a comprehensive output of 299 horsepower. It is matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and is equipped with a Quattro four-wheel drive system.The 20.7kWh battery capacity can provide 108km of pure electric range.

In the current luxury brand mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan market, the main competitor of the Audi A5PHEV is the Mercedes-Benz C350eL.

However, if this car enters the Chinese market, it will face more cost-effective models with rich configurations, such as BYD Han DM-i.
