Intel will officially release the 14th generation Core on October 17. To put it bluntly, it is an upgraded version of the 13th generation Core. The code name says it all - Raptor Lake Refresh. The first batch of releases is only the high-end K/KF series, with a total of six models, namely the i9-14900K/KF with 8+1624 cores, the i7-14700K/KF with 8+1220 cores, and the i5-14600K/F with 6+814 cores.

There have been rumors before that the 14th generation Core will increase in price.
Now, Canadian retailer PCCanada is the first to put the 14th generation Core on the shelves, and it is indeed a bit higher than the 13th generation Core. The range varies from 2-7%.
Among them, the one with the highest increase was the i9-14900KF, with an increase of 7%.
i7-14700K/KF increased by 2% and 4% respectively. Considering that they both have 4 more E-cores, they are naturally the most conscientious.
Although many of the prices listed in advance are placeholders, Intel usually gives the prices to large retailers in advance to prepare, and there is only one month left before the official release, so the credibility is still very high.
PS: Core Ultra, codenamed Meteor Lake, will disclose its architecture and technical details next week, but its official release will have to wait until CES2024 early next year, when the entire range of desktops and laptops will be available, as always.
