Today, according to CCTV International News, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said at a rally in Wisconsin recently that "the United States is like a big ship. People must be in the same boat and cannot abandon the ship." Musk said that he "will die in the United States and will not go anywhere." He also seemingly half-jokingly said that he "maybe go to Mars, but that will also be part of the United States."

It is understood that Musk issued a document in mid-March stating that his Space Exploration Technology Company (SpaceX) heavy-lift launch vehicle "Starship" will carry Tesla's humanoid robot "Optimus Prime" to land on Mars at the end of 2026.

Musk said,If the landing goes well, a manned mission to Mars could be implemented as early as 2029, but he thinks 2031 is more likely.

It is reported that Musk often adjusts the timetable for the "Starship" mission to Mars. In early 2024,Musk has said that he will implement the first unmanned mission to Mars within five years and the first manned mission to Mars within seven years.

The "Starship" has a total length of about 120 meters and a diameter of about 9 meters. It is composed of two parts. The first stage is a "super heavy" booster about 70 meters long, and the second stage is the "Starship" spacecraft. Both stages can be reused.

The rocket is designed to carry people and cargo to Earth orbit, the moon and even Mars.
