The FBI announced last Monday local time that a series of incidents that appeared to have targetedTeslaAfter the incident, the bureau has established a special task force aimed at "severely cracking down on violent attacks against Tesla." The FBI said over the weekend that "anti-Tesla" incidents have occurred in at least nine states, noting that the pattern of incidents appears to be occurring at night and "perpetrated by a single perpetrator."

In an interview, Tesla CEO Elon Musk responded to the backlash against Tesla. In an interview, Musk discussed his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), saying: "The reality is that me being in government is a detriment to me, not a benefit. My company is suffering because of me being in government."

Musk specifically mentioned how vandalism hurt Tesla's revenue. "Do you think if someone firebombed a (Tesla) dealership that it would help sales? Of course not," Musk said.
