PlayStation recently revealed that during the development process, they provided "Tons of Support" to companies such as Game Science, the developer of "Black Myth: Wukong". In a recent interview, SIE Senior Vice President of Global Partner Development and Relations Phil Rosenberg revealed the details of third-party games getting PlayStation support.

Rosenberg first said that Sony's Content Ventures Team (ContentVenturesTeam) is very good at discovering new game series and introducing them to the platform. They discovered games like Lost, Genshin Impact, Black Myth: Wukong, Star Blade, and more.

"The ContentVentures team is led by Christian Svensson. No one in the world is better at uncovering hidden gems and nurturing emerging companies that most people may not have noticed than Christian and Shawne Benson. The team worked with Annapurna Games early on on games like Stray. The same approach has led us to support games like Genshin Impact, Black Myth: Wukong, and Star Blade."

In addition, Sony's third-party account management team and partner development team provide "massive support" for games such as "Black Myth: Wukong" and "Lost". These teams at Sony are usually the first point of contact.

There were rumors earlier last year that the reason why "Black Myth: Wukong" was not released on Xbox was because of an exclusivity agreement with Sony. A Microsoft representative later added that the delay was not due to platform limitations. However, at the beginning of this year, the CEO and founder of Game Science confirmed that the Xbox version of "Black Myth: Wukong" failed to be launched on time due to optimization issues on the Xbox Series S console.
