LXQt 2.2 is officially released today, becoming the latest stable update of this lightweight open source Qt desktop environment. LXQt 2.2 builds on Wayland support already implemented in previous LXQt versions. LXQt 2.2 not only improves Wayland's multi-screen support, but also makes other feature improvements to better support the Wayland environment while X11 continues to function normally.

LXQt Wayland sessions will also continue to be perfectly compatible with the latest stable versions of all the different Wayland synthesizers that can be paired with them. wxya

2.2 also brings terminal customization options support to PCManFM-Qt, QTerminal text rendering fixes, and PPD power profile support in LXQt power management.

LXQt Archiver is now built with 7-Zip by default and relies on 7z to handle RAR archives, and libqtxdg has been updated for Qt 6.9 headers. LibFM-Qt also handles drag-and-drop better in LXQt 2.2 desktop version.
