On September 16, local time, Hurricane Lee will land on the Atlantic coast of Canada at tropical storm level. Affected by this, more than 170,000 households in the area have lost power. As of around 12:00 local time on the 16th, 135,100 houses in Nova Scotia, Canada, and more than 35,600 houses in New Brunswick were without power.
Environment Canada says waves of 4 to 6 meters are possible along Nova Scotia's mid-Atlantic coast, and a storm surge warning is currently in effect.
