According to the China Manned Spaceflight Official Account, at 16:49 today, after about 8 hours of extravehicular activities,The Shenzhou 20 crew astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie worked closely together, and with the cooperation and support of ground scientific researchers, the astronauts emerged from the core module node module.
The space debris protection device that had previously exited the cabin through the cargo airlock and was transferred to the transfer position using a robotic arm was installed at a predetermined location. At the same time, tasks such as inspection and disposal of extravehicular equipment and facilities were carried out.
The capsule astronauts Chen Dong and Chen Zhongrui have safely returned to the Tianhe core capsule. The extravehicular activity was a complete success. The Tianhe capsule's panoramic camera and extravehicular spacesuit captured the astronauts' exit process.
It is worth mentioning thatThis is the first time since the space station entered the application and development stage that astronauts have exited through the Tianhe core module node module, and the astronaut exit and cargo exit missions have been coupled and implemented for the first time.
Astronaut Chen Dong walked in space again after two years, and astronaut Chen Zhongrui performed his first extravehicular mission.
It is understood that at 17:17 on April 24, 2025, Beijing time, the Long March 2F Yao-20 carrier rocket carrying the Shenzhou 20 manned spacecraft was ignited and launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The spacecraft successfully entered the scheduled docking orbit. The astronaut crew was in good condition and the launch was a complete success.
This is the fifth manned mission in my country's manned space program that has entered the space station application and development stage, and the 35th launch mission since the project was established.
