CNOOC announced,The daily oil and gas production of Bohai Oilfield, my country's largest offshore oil field, exceeded 100,000 tons of oil equivalent for the first time, setting a record high in more than 50 years of development and construction.Public information shows that the Bohai Oilfield was founded in 1965 and is the birthplace of my country’s modern offshore oil industry. In 1967, my country's first offshore exploration well "Haiyi Well" produced oil, marking the beginning of the production history of the Bohai oil field.
In 2010, the Bohai Oilfield achieved a historic milestone of 30 million tons of oil and gas production, accounting for 60% of CNOOC's total domestic production. It has also become the country's second largest oilfield in terms of crude oil production after Daqing Oilfield.
In 2021, the crude oil output of the Bohai Oilfield will reach 30.132 million tons, making it the largest crude oil production base in my country., the increase in crude oil accounts for nearly 50% of the country's increase.
In the past 60 years since it was put into production, the Bohai Oilfield has built more than 50 producing oil and gas fields and nearly 200 production facilities. It is the main oil field with the highest output, largest scale and best efficiency in China's waters.
According to official reports, the Bohai Oilfield is also steadily advancing the construction of major projects such as the Bohai Sea's first 100-billion-square-meter gas field and the Bozhong-Kenli Oilfield Group shore power project, and continues to promote major scientific and technological research and achievement demonstrations to "increase production by 40 million tons".
