Tesla plans to launch a six-seater version of Model Y, which has attracted widespread attention. Tesla hacker greentheonly discovered the development plan for a six-seater model by mining Tesla's firmware information.Previously, Tesla had sent promotional emails to subscribers, hinting that it would launch a seven-seat version of Model Y.

The discovery of greentheonly shows that in addition to the seven-seat version, Tesla is also developing a six-seat version of Model Y, and this model is not limited to the Chinese market, but will also be sold globally.

Tesla has launched six- and seven-seat configurations in older Model Y models, but market feedback has been mixed, with many owners expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of legroom in the third row of seats.

Even so, Tesla still plans to launch a new six-seater version of Model Y, showing its emphasis on the practicality of product space.

Lars Moravy, Tesla’s vice president of vehicle engineering, has said that the seven-seat Model Y will be put into production later in 2025.

Although the launch plan of the six-seat Model Y has not yet been officially announced, this move is expected to meet the needs of more consumers for space and practicality.
