BYD's seventh professional car ro-ro ship "Zhengzhou" has completed sea trials and is expected to be delivered next month. The ship is manufactured by Guangzhou Shipbuilding International and is the sister ship of "Hefei". It has a length of 199.9 meters and a width of 38 meters. It can carry 7,000 vehicles. It uses LNG dual-fuel propulsion and is equipped with a permanent magnet shaft generator and energy-saving device.

At present, "Pioneer 1", "Changzhou", "Hefei", "Shenzhen" and "Xi'an" have been delivered, and the "Changsha", "Zhengzhou" and "Jinan" will also be put into operation in the future.

Among them, the "Shenzhen" is the world's largest car carrier, with a length of 219 meters, larger than a large destroyer, and a width of 37.7 meters. It can hold about 18 cars side by side. It has a design draft of 9 meters and can carry up to 9,200 cars.

BYD plans to build a "sea-going fleet" consisting of eight ro-ro ships by 2026, with a total transport capacity of over one million vehicles.

The self-purchased ro-ro fleet will shorten the delivery cycle of European orders and help BYD seize overseas markets.

Data show that BYD exported 89,000 vehicles in May this year, setting another record high. The total export sales from January to May were 374,200 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 112%.

Moreover, in the global auto brand sales list in April, BYD became the only Chinese auto brand on the list, ranking fifth, and its global influence continues to increase.
