my country's first 5,000-ton private ocean-going medical rescue ship designed by China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute has been successfully launched.The ship was jointly initiated and built by the China Association for the Promotion of International Exchanges of Non-Governmental Organizations and the Beijing Pinglan Charity Foundation. It is my country's first large-scale public welfare ship that integrates medical care, rescue, and training. In the future, it will provide public welfare medical care and emergency disaster relief services to many countries and regions around the world.
It is understood thatThe ship has a displacement of 5,000 tons and a total length of 100.15 meters. It is equipped with a complete medical cabin including an examination room, X-ray room, B-ultrasound room, CT room and operating room, and is equipped with a helicopter landing platform.
The ship can carry 50 crew members, medical and rescue volunteers, and has the ability to load more than 1,000 tons of disaster relief supplies.
After completion, the ship will go to Southeast Asia, the South Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America to perform public welfare medical inspections, emergency rescue, disaster prevention training and other tasks. It can also respond quickly when major disasters occur and participate in international joint disaster relief and overseas evacuation operations.
