In the era of intelligent network connection, a small problem may cause big trouble. Yesterday, many Tesla owners reported on social platforms such as Xiaohongshu that,Things that I usually set up by myself have changed and need to be manually adjusted again. Some car owners described it as "My car suddenly is not my car anymore!"
Taken together, this failure mainly manifests itself as three types of anomalies, most of which occurred during the morning driving period on October 24:
Clear driving preferences: Frequently used personalized settings such as seat position, steering wheel angle, and rearview mirror adjustment have been restored to default. Some car owners mentioned that "the seat position is obviously shifted, and the acceleration mode automatically switches from 'standard' to 'easy'."
Data records lost: Navigation favorites and recent driving records were cleared, and some car owners found that the map history was traced back to old data in March 2024; in-car media accounts (such as music, podcasts) were automatically logged out, and account passwords needed to be re-entered.
Abnormal account status: A few car owners have experienced situations such as "the main account disappears" and "the default driver is changed to a family account". Even if they restart the car, they still cannot restore the original settings.
It is worth mentioning that the fault does not cover the whole area. Some car owners reported that the vehicle functions normally. It is speculated that it may be related to a specific car system version or regional server synchronization.
After receiving a large amount of feedback, Tesla customer service responded that it had confirmed the problem and launched an emergency investigation, but it has not yet disclosed the specific trigger.
Looking back in history,A similar incident occurred at Tesla in December 2024, when the account synchronization vulnerability was fixed through an OTA system update., whether this fault is a recurrence of an old problem remains to be verified.
