Third-party accessory manufacturer GuliKit has officially released a new generation of TV Docking Station, which supports Nintendo Switch 2 as well as the previous original Switch and OLED models. It is focused on portability, compactness and multi-scenario use.

GuliKit has previously warmed up this new product on social platforms, and now it is officially launched. The appearance continues the design style of the previous generation. The overall shape is similar to a small streaming media set-top box, equipped with a magnetic dust cover, which can be turned into a stand when flipped to support the Switch console plugged into the base. The dock is on sale starting today through GuliKit authorized channels, including Amazon, priced at $29.99, which is cheaper than Jsaux’s $46 OmniCentro Dock and Genki’s $69.99 Covert Dock 3, while offering enhanced functionality.
In terms of weight and volume control, this TV Docking Station weighs only about 105 grams, which is much lower than the weight of about 381 grams of the base that comes with Nintendo's Switch 2 console. The volume is a square shape with a side length of about 3.4 inches and a thickness of less than one inch, making it easy to carry and store. Although the GuliKit product is slightly larger than some mini bases that plug directly into the wall, and needs to be powered by the original Switch 2 power adapter, its advantage is that it can hold the console firmly when connected to the TV, even if the console is equipped with a protective case. The bottom of the base is equipped with a sliding switch that can raise the height of the USB-C interface to fit most protective cases, so that players do not need to frequently remove and install protective accessories.

In terms of interfaces and specifications, the back of the base provides a set of HDMI interfaces that support output specifications up to 4K 60Hz, 2K 120Hz, and 1080p 240Hz. This parameter is much higher than the output capabilities of the Nintendo handheld itself, leaving room for future or other devices. In addition, the base is also equipped with a USB-C interface for power input, a USB-A interface for charging peripherals such as handles, and a mode switching button to support switching between "TV Docking Mode" (TV output mode) and "Desktop Charging Mode" (desktop charging mode). In desktop charging mode, the base will not output images to the TV. Players can directly use the Switch's built-in screen to play games and charge the console at the same time, which is more suitable for travel or desk scenarios.
With its lower price, lighter size and compatibility with all Switch consoles, the GuliKit TV Docking Station has become one of the lowest-priced and most complete third-party solutions besides Nintendo’s official dock. It provides a new option for players who want to travel light and switch freely between mobile and living room scenes.
