On the afternoon of November 5, Alibaba Chairman Joe Tsai attended a lecture held by the School of Economics and Management of the University of Hong Kong and delivered a speech. Talking about the topic of "AI bubble", Tsai Chongxin said,The bubble of technological change is a financial phenomenon, but the value of the technology itself is real.
He further said that "all the infrastructure has been built, and when it comes to the development model stage, it will not cause a waste of resources. Because this is a real phenomenon."
Later, he explained using the Internet bubble around March 2000 as an example: "The burst of the Internet bubble was a so-called burst of the stock market, but today's Internet has been cured. In fact, today's Internet is even more powerful."
Tsai Chongxin emphasized that "technology itself is not a bubble. Now compare it with cryptocurrency. Compared with the AI bubble, some cryptocurrency projects are real bubbles."
