According to the revised agreement between the two companies,Microsoft will have access to OpenAI’s models until 2032 and its research results until 2030, or until a panel of experts concludes that general AI has been achieved. Microsoft's intellectual property scope does not include OpenAI's consumer hardware.

OpenAI plans to work with Broadcom to custom design chips and network hardware. Microsoft has also been developing its own chips, but has been less successful than its cloud computing competitors, such as Google.

Nadella said in the podcast that Microsoft will integrate the design solutions of OpenAI and its own team on the premise that it clearly owns the intellectual property rights.
