TSMC has filed an application for "temporary status disposition" with the Intellectual Property and Commercial Court, requesting that he be prohibited from taking the position.
The court confirmed that the case has been accepted and will be heard by Judge Wang Biying, and relevant procedures will be carried out as soon as possible. This case has attracted great attention from the outside world, especially whether Luo Weiren's "Academician of the Industrial Research Institute" qualification is affected.
Gong Mingxin, head of the economic department, responded that the Industrial Research Institute has initiated the relevant process of revoking his academician qualifications. Gong Mingxin pointed out that Luo Weiren's behavior has involved the "Safety Law" and the "Business Secrets Law", and the High People's Procuratorate has actively intervened in the investigation of the parts involving the safety law; as for the business secrets part, if TSMC needs assistance, the economic department will fully cooperate, but the specific information that is missing should be explained by TSMC itself.
It is understood that TSMC specifically cited business secrets in its application, requesting the court to handle the case with caution and not disclose the content until the case is clarified. In the future, it will decide whether to provide appropriate explanations depending on the progress of the trial.
