The 3A multiplayer game studio "Team Kaiju (Monster Team)" established in North America by Tencent's Tianmei Studio in 2021 has recently been reported to have been closed. At first, a former employee of the studio broke the news on LinkedIn that the studio had been closed. Later, a Twitter user "Kurakasis" confirmed the fact that Team Kaiju's official website kaiju.gg could not be opened.
After Kurakasis broke the news that Team Kaiju in North America was shut down, Tencent applied for the "TeamJade" trademark in Europe. It is unclear whether the two are related.
TeamKaiju Studio was founded by Scott Warner, the designer of "Halo 4", and Rosi Zagorcheva, an old member of the "Battlefield" series, and focuses on producing a AAA-level multiplayer game. However, Rosi chose to leave in April 2022, and Scott also left the company in April this year.
Although Team Kaiju has not been confirmed by Tencent as to whether it has been shut down, the official website currently only displays words such as "404Pagenotfound".
