As early as 2025, there was news that laptops equipped with NVIDIA N1 series chips would be unveiled at CES 2026 and released to the mass market in the first quarter of 2026. However, until now there has been no substantial news about the NVIDIA N1 chip, let alone an official release date.

In this regard, Moore’s Law Is Dead latest revealed that,Due to software adaptation and bug issues, notebook products equipped with this series of APUs will not be available in the first quarter of 2026 as originally planned.

What's even more worrying is that neither Microsoft nor NVIDIA seem to have a sense of urgency in solving these problems.

This means that it seems unlikely that any N1X/N1V laptops will be released in the first quarter of 2026. Even if there is, MLID believes that the number will be low, but it is more likely that it will be released in the second quarter or summer.

As for N1X devices, which could be even later, MLID talks about N1X-powered laptops possibly being pushed back to August 2026.

In addition, although many N1X/N1V devices such as Dell Alienware, Dell 16 Premium, Lenovo Legion, Yoga and IdeaPad have frequently appeared on the Internet recently, they have not been officially released, suggesting that software optimization has indeed encountered bottlenecks.

It should be noted that these are still rumors at present. Only when NVIDIA officially announces the details can we know the true situation of the N1X APU.
