Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, announced: "GPT-5.3-Codex is officially released! Programming performance has reached new highs: SWE-Bench Pro evaluation reached 57%, TerminalBench 2.0 reached 76%, and OSWorld reached 64%; it supports real-time control and dynamic updates during tasks; operating efficiency has jumped: to complete the same task, the token consumption is reduced by more than half compared with 5.2-Codex, and the single-token processing speed is increased by more than 25%; it has mature computer operation capabilities."
He also said, "This is our first model to be rated as "high-level" in the network security dimension of the security protection framework. Currently, we are piloting the launch of the trusted access framework and investing US$10 million in API quota to help accelerate the construction of the network security defense system."
