Ubisoft confirms it suffered a hacker attack: 900GB of data was almost stolen

According to news released by the malware technical paper website vx-underground, hackers recently invaded Ubisoft and tried to steal internal data. Hackers informed vx-underground on Thursday night that they gained access to Ubisoft systems and accounts for approximately 48 hours until Ubisoft discovered and took countermeasures.

The hackers allegedly aimed to steal approximately 900GB of data, but ultimately failed.

In response, a Ubisoft spokesperson told foreign media RecordedFutureNews that they are "aware of the suspected data security incident" and are investigating. There is no further information to share at this time.
