Yesterday, TCL founder and chairman Li Dongsheng led the management team to visit Sony Group and held talks with Sony Group President and Representative Director Executive Director Totoki Hiroki. The two parties conducted substantive communication on the future direction of the newly established joint venture. This meeting is an important part of advancing the previous strategic cooperation agreement between the two parties. On March 31, 2026, TCL Electronics officially signed a contract with Sony to form a joint venture to fully undertake Sony's global home entertainment business, including core product lines such as TVs and audio. Li Dongsheng reported the integration progress at the meeting, pointing out that the two parties are currently accelerating collaborative work in the three dimensions of product platform, supply chain and manufacturing system. It is reported that the joint venture has initially established a medium- and long-term strategic direction, with its core goals targeting business structure optimization and high-end market layout.

Regarding business handover and future operations, Totoki Hiroki revealed that the joint venture project has received positive feedback from the global sales system and end customers. The management of both parties agree that this business integration aims to leverage their respective complementary advantages in technology reserves and manufacturing scale, with a view to enhancing their overall competitiveness in the global market.
