On the eve of the 2026 Google I/O Developer Conference, Google today officially released a new Gemini Intelligence feature suite on the Android platform, bringing deeper Gemini artificial intelligence integration to Android phones and other devices. The first batch of relevant functions will be first launched on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel series mobile phones, and then gradually expanded to more Android ecosystem devices.

Google said that Gemini Intelligence reconstructs the interface and interaction based on the latest Material 3 Expressive design language, and introduces more "purposeful" animation effects visually to reduce attention interference and improve overall usage fluency. Under a more unified design framework, the user's interaction with Gemini will be closer to the system's native experience rather than a single independent application.
After months of testing in the U.S. market, the "application automation" capabilities offered by Gemini are about to be made available to more users. With this feature, Gemini Intelligence can complete multi-step tasks across applications. For example, users can ask Gemini to recognize a shopping list in a screenshot and automatically add all items to the Instacart shopping cart. Likewise, users can snap a photo of a travel brochure and ask Gemini to find similar itineraries on Expedia, seamlessly transitioning from offline information to online booking. Google emphasizes that users always retain control during the entire process, and Gemini will only perform corresponding operations after explicit instructions from the user.
Starting next month, Google will also introduce Gemini to the Android version of the Chrome browser, adding stronger intelligent assistance capabilities to mobile web browsing. By then, Gemini can help users conduct data retrieval, content summary and cross-webpage comparative analysis in the browser, making the information acquisition process more efficient. In addition, Chrome will add a new Auto Browse function, which can handle some simple web tasks for users, such as making online reservations, filling in reservation information, or reserving parking spaces, thereby reducing repeated operations.
In terms of automatic form filling, current smartphone systems can usually only help users fill in basic information such as name, email, and address. With Gemini's "Personal Intelligence" capabilities, Android will be able to use information from connected apps to complete more complex form filling. For example, if the user has accessed a passport-related application, on the page where the passport information needs to be filled in, the entire set of passport information can be automatically filled in with just one tap, greatly reducing the input threshold.
At the input method level, Google has introduced a new Gemini Intelligence function called Rambler on Gboard, which is used to convert natural spoken language into more refined and smooth written text. Rambler can automatically remove spoken words and modal particles, reorganize scattered and jumping spoken expressions, and output text content with a more "polished" style, which can be sent directly as a message. It is worth mentioning that Rambler also supports multi-language input scenarios and can intelligently process mixed-language voices to adapt to more daily use environments where native languages and foreign languages are intertwined.
In terms of desktop customization, Gemini Intelligence will also launch a new feature called "Create My Widget" that allows users to create custom Android widgets through natural language. Users only need to describe their needs in daily sentences, such as "make a weather widget that only displays wind speed and rainfall conditions", and the system can generate corresponding personalized components, making the desktop information display more relevant to personal concerns.
According to the schedule announced by Google, the above new Gemini Intelligence capabilities will be launched first on the latest versions of Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones this summer. Later, these functions will be expanded to a wider range of Android device forms, including smart watches, car systems, smart glasses, laptops, etc., to achieve a unified AI experience from mobile phones to multi-terminal scenarios.
