According to Business Insider, NVIDIA announced an important personnel adjustment. Nick Parker, a senior executive with 26 years of experience in the Microsoft industry, will be the company's head of global sales. This is also a rare arrangement for NVIDIA to introduce core executives from outside in recent years, injecting new strength into the commercialization of enterprise AI and global business expansion.

Previously, Jay Puri, Nvidia’s head of global field operations, announced that he would retire after 21 years with the company and become a consultant. As a member of the core management team of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Jay Puri leads the sales team to witness the company's growth from a graphics card manufacturer to a global AI chip leader. In order to complete the job replacement, Nvidia broke the long-term tradition of internal training and internal promotion of senior executives and selected external core sales leaders. Nick Park became the final candidate and will officially take up his duties next month.

Nick Park has been deeply involved in Microsoft for 26 years. He left his previous position as executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Microsoft's global sales and solutions department, where he comprehensively coordinated enterprise sales operations. On the eve of his resignation, he had just received a new appointment. He was originally scheduled to lead Microsoft's new US$2.5 billion business unit Microsoft Frontier Company, which has assembled 6,000 engineers and industry experts, and coordinate the implementation of AI projects for enterprise customers. The management volume and team size of this position are both higher than the business he was responsible for in the past.

According to regulatory documents disclosed by Nvidia, Nick Parker will enjoy a generous salary system after joining, including stock awards worth US$40 million, a signing bonus of US$5 million, and an annual base salary of US$1 million.

Industry analysts believe that this personnel change sends a clear signal that Nvidia continues to pursue long-term growth. NVIDIA's current position in the industry is solid, but the company has not stopped at its existing advantages in the AI chip market and is making every effort to lay out its development blueprint for the next stage. Different from the business goal of chip sales in the past, NVIDIA's core focus at this stage has shifted to empowering various customers to complete the implementation of AI technology physical business. Nick Park has been deeply involved in the field of enterprise-level technology sales for a long time, and has mature practical experience in this field, which highly matches the current development needs of the company.

Industry researchers said that Nick Park has been connecting with regulatory agencies in various countries, global cloud service providers and upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain all year round, and has accumulated deep and extensive industrial resources and network advantages, which will provide strong support for Nvidia's global business expansion.
