The Kimi team stated that since the release of Kimi K3 on July 16, the product has received user support that exceeds expectations. However, in the past 48 hours, the number of user requests has greatly exceeded the team’s previous estimates and is approaching the capacity limit of the existing computing cluster. Before completing the expansion of computing power, the platform will temporarily stop opening new subscription quotas to C-sides.
The announcement shows that Dark Side of the Moon is currently promoting computing power expansion at full speed. As new computing power comes online one after another, the platform will gradually resume new user subscriptions until it fully resumes normal operations.
At the same time, Kimi also announced that in the future, Kimi main rights and interests and Kimi Code rights will be split for new subscribers. Among them, Kimi’s main rights and interests cover Kimi Web, Kimi App, and Kimi Work. The platform stated that this move aims to more accurately match computing resources and ensure the use experience of different products.
It is understood that Kimi K3 was officially released on July 16. It is the most powerful large model of Dark Side of the Moon, with 2.8 trillion parameters and 1 million Tokens context windows. It is mainly aimed at long-range programming and end-to-end knowledge work.
According to the information released by the Kimi Open Platform, Kimi K3 adopts a pay-as-you-go billing model. The input price is 2 yuan (cache hit) or 20 yuan (cache miss) per 1 million Tokens, and the output price is 100 yuan per 1 million Tokens.
In addition, Kimi President Zhang Yutong said on July 18 that Kimi K3 will open model weights in the near future. She also revealed that data showed that when K3 released the node on July 17, the company's annualized revenue (ARR) hit the largest single-day increase in history.
