In order to enrich its core air defense interceptor missile reserves, the United States has accelerated its replenishment. Boeing increased its PAC-3 missile seeker production capacity by 30% last year and plans to increase production by the same amount again this year. Steve Parker, CEO of Boeing Defense, said that the company produced 650 sets of seekers last year, which is the same as Lockheed Martin's 2026 missile program production capacity; Boeing's seeker production target this year is 850 sets.
Iran has previously launched ballistic missiles into many places in the region, and the United States and its allies have consumed thousands of these interceptors in the conflict. Boeing signed multiple framework agreements this year and aims to increase annual output of seekers to 2,000 sets by 2030.
On Sunday, local time, Parker said at a preview briefing at the Farnborough International Air Show: "This is a task assigned to us by the country. We are fully prepared and are working closely with our customers."
